"Ja'nae, Ashley and Dr. Bender definitely made me smile today. This is dentistry on another level. When you walk in, you are are warmly greeted and made to feel as though you are the most important patient they have. The waiting room wait is minimal to none. You are greeted by your Dental assistant who escorts you back to the dental area and you are almost immediately attended to. This office uses a team approach, so their may be more than one assistant that works with you and maybe even more than one dentist, but the transitions are seemless. I must add however that Dr. Bender's hands are truly blessed. Dr. Bender's touch is steady, sure, and efficient. She is humble and it is clear that she wants to make sure that you understand what is happening every step of the way, you are comfortable and that you are more than satisfied. Dr. Acorn is equally gifted. You cannot go wrong...Mint dentistry where have you been and why did it take you so long to get here? For the first time in my life, I do not dread going to the dentist. May you all continue to be blessed as you continue to be a blessing."- S.L. / Google / Mar 28, 2019
Dental exams should be scheduled once every year starting when a child is 18 months old. MINT dentistry offers superior dental care to every member of your family to address concerns with modern techniques and technology. Our team focuses on providing a positive experience for younger patients so they enjoy visits to MINT dentistry. We also like to help children and adults overcome negative experiences they may have had at another dentist. We like to help them feel safe and comfortable during their appointments at our office.
What to Expect
To protect your eyes from our work lights, you'll wear a pair of stylish MINT sunglasses during your oral health examination as you sit back in a massaging treatment chair. Your exam will begin as your dentist evaluates your teeth, gums, and jaw while you watch a show or jam out with a pair of our Beats headphones. Next, a member of the MINT dentistry team will use digital x-rays to get a better view of your teeth and check for abnormalities. The dentist will then evaulate your head and neck, particularly your jawbone and bite. Your dentist will go over your results and, if a problem is diagnosed, your treatment options will be reviewed. Your dentist will ask about your overall health, including current medications and supplements since this may affect your dental health. Finally, your dentist will examine any restorations you have, like a crown or bridge, to see if they need to be repaired or replaced.
As long as we don't find any problems, then the only aftercare necessary would be to continue a regimen of home oral care, which includes brushing and flossing twice a day. You should also continue to schedule oral exams and professional cleanings every six months at MINT dentistry. Most patients only need an exam twice a year, but MINT dentistry may suggest scheduling exams more often for patients with certain oral health problems. If our team does find a problem, treatment options will be discussed and scheduled. As an example, if there is a cavity in your tooth, you'll be asked to schedule an appointment for a tooth-colored filling to treat it.
